Please join APT WGLC on October 7th (weather permitting) for an exciting opportunity to tour a Lannon Stone quarry with Halquist Stone. Halquist Stone has been supplying Lannon Stone from their quarry since 1929 During the tour you’ll see the stone in the quarry and learn the process required for selection, extraction, and fabrication. Come prepared with questions. The tour will occur from 9:00 am to 11:30 am local time.
Sensible footwear is required, we may encounter water and mud. Attendees will be required to consolidate into vehicles upon arrival to the meeting location (N51 W23563 Lisbon Rd. Sussex, WI) for entry into the quarry. Please note (by sending an email to aptwglc@gmail.com) if you have a larger vehicle and are willing to accommodate people from the meeting site to the quarry. If we are unable to meet vehicle limits, the event may be cancelled. The event will offer 2 AIA CEUs pending approval.
Attendance for this event is limited to 8 people. The event is free for members; however members are requested to not register unless they are certain they are able to attend. WGLC reserves the rights to limit the future registrations of those who reserve limited spots and do not attend events.
