Please join, APTI, APT WGLC, and The Cliff Dwellers, in welcoming Don Friedman for a lecture and book signing for his recent publication "The Structure of Skyscrapers in America, 1871-1900 Their History and Preservation," published by the Association for Preservation Technology. 

In this new book, award-winning author Donald Friedman presents the development of the structure of skyscrapers at the end of the nineteenth century. He provides the historic context for the emergence of this new building type, as well as a thorough explanation of the technical aspects of construction. Preservation problems are discussed extensively. This definitive book is essential for anyone who is interested in early skyscrapers and especially for those professionals who work with them. Please see the attached flier.  

Mr. Friedman will review and discuss his research, followed by a brief question and answer period. Books will be on hand for purchase and the author’s signature. There will be a cash bar and networking time after the lecture. This is event is limited to the first 120 registrants.
