Please join APT WGLC and the School of the Art Institute Chicago in an opportunity to mentor students enrolled in the Historic Preservation Program. APT WGLC members are sought to work with small groups of students while they perform a condition assessment as part of their class work. Students will be divided into groups focusing on masonry, windows, roofing/water management, and metal elements (balconies). We are seeking two mentors per group.
The building is located at 1701-1719 North Park Avenue in the Old Town neighborhood of Chicago. Registration is open through April 3rd, participation is limited to 8 registrants. The event is free and will meet rain or shine. The venue is near optional lunch locations and light snacks will be provided. Mentors will also be invited to the student's final presentations on May 9th from 2-4 pm.
